Both will work, The performance details depend on which AC2200 extender you mean.

The EX7300 extender is dual band (450@2.4 ghz+1733@5 ghz).  It wouldn't be able to go over 300 mbps in the 2.4 ghz band (unless you use fastlane over 5 Ghz).  In most places there are too many competing wifi signals in that band to use the 450 mbps mode anyway.

The EX7500 is tri band (400@2.4 Ghz + 866@5 Ghz-1 + 866@ 5-ghz 1).  The extra band improves the relay performance if you dedicate one of the 5-Ghz bands to connect to your router (using the FastLane feature).  That works well if the extender is close enough to the router to use 5 Ghz on that hop.

In extender mode, the EX7500 is the highest-performing model for most people (and at the moment more expensive than the EX6400 and the EX7300).

If the EX7500 is too expensive, then price-check the EX7300 and the EX6400.  I'm seeing the same street prices for the EX7300 and the EX6400 at the moment.  If price is the same in your geography, you might as well go with the EX7300.
