Need help selecting wifi extenders that work with limited connections -wifi hotspots

Question

I am forced to rely on a cellular (AT&amp;T) phone as my only form of internet connection due to the location where I live.&nbsp; Believe it or not, it works pretty good with download speeds around 23-30 meg on a good day and uploads around 5-10 meg.&nbsp; &nbsp;The problem is the device (I-Phone SE) has limited wifi range, and only supports 8 connections.&nbsp;I need an extender, or mesh, that will extend the range in a single-story wood farmed home, approximately 2200 square feet.&nbsp; &nbsp;Is thre a technology that i can use that will not consume a connection for each extender?&nbsp; &nbsp; Currently am using an older AC1200 ex 6150 extender, which consumes a connection and is not very powerful it seems&nbsp;Any advice is much appreciated!&nbsp;Bob

You'd be better to switch from the phone to a hotpsot. devices like the MR1100 would function more appropriate and be better to connect a router/extender to.

The phone I am using came as part of a package plan with AT&T called FirstNet. (I am a first repsonder).

Would a device such as the one you are reccomending work with the SIM card from my AT&T Firstnet phone & service?

Thanks for your advice. I am a firefighter, not a wifi guru!!!

Theoretically it should. I've swapped the sim in my phone to a hotspot before but I'm not sure what/if att has changed since I've been with them (att).&nbsp;

update 7/22/20:&nbsp; I spoke with a very nice person with AT&amp;T phone support.&nbsp; &nbsp;He informed me that the SIM card that my iPhone SE uses is a different sze than the one that the Hotspot device uses.&nbsp; &nbsp;He also was unsure whether it would work regardless of the SIM card issue.&nbsp;I think I am going to try it.&nbsp; &nbsp;I have found SIM card adapter things that supposedly will take care of the size issue.&nbsp; &nbsp;I don't know what else to do other than try it.&nbsp; &nbsp;Hope I am not about to waste a bunch of money!!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Stay tuned, I may have a brand new never used Nighthawk hotspot for sale cheap real soon...............&nbsp;Bob
