Need help with an AC 1200 Dual Band WiFi Mesh Extender *EX6150-100NAS*

I recently acquired a new Xfinity WiFi account for my home. Trying to connect my WiFi extender to my new network through the Nighthawk app. The extender is plugged in and the 2 green lights are solid. In the app it first says "Issues connecting to my WiFi name. Then when I click new system set up and get started I click on range extender in the product list. The app says no devices found. When I click on choose wifi network "NETGEAR_EXT" is not in the list. It Extender not found. Even after I push the reset button. How do I get this thing to work? I am not that tech illiterate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Mesh Extender *EX6150-100NAS*

Did you set it up using the push button WPS option?

If so, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

Is this Xfinity WiFi Internet package more an access to some Xfinity hotspots by WiFi (intended for eg. a mobile phone or a computer with a WiFi access)?

    Talking of this service here?

This is a typical area where these simple extenders can't be deployed. This would be more the usage for the now rare travel routers.
