need to select extended network each time I need it

I configured my extenders using the Setup Genie (the mywifiext website did not work). The network seems to work fine, but I need to select it each time I need it. I thought it was supposed to kick in automatically whenever it was needed when my primary network was selected. How should I be selecting the extended network?

    The EX3700 isn't a mesh extender. Meaning it doesn't roam automatically. 

    There's some programs you can install/buy and put on your phone/tablet/pc that'll all you to roam between access points as needed. 

    But the EX3700 was a base model dual band extender. If you want the roaming option,you'd need to upgrade.
