My wifi extender is not getting connected to my WiFi router despite going thru the entire process of resetting and the using the Netgear setup process ....I get the extended network , but without Internet....not sure what has gone wrong

1. What router do you have?
2. What extender do you have? check the label
3. firmware on the extender?
4. Where in the process is it failing?
5. Does it give you an error or what actually happens (we aren't there to see it so the more details you tell us, the better we can help)
6. What are the led's on the extender doing (color, blinking, etc)
