Netgear AC750 WiFi Range Extender has suddenly stopped working?

My power point plug-in Netgear WiFi Extender has suddenly stopped working? I connected it via WPS and it was working well for a few days. It now connects to my laptop, however, the WiFi doesn't work anymore? I don't get internet connection anymore. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks.

    what modem/gateway/router is the extender connected to? 

    Have you tried factory resetting it and installing it using the installation assistant?
