Since the AX1600 is a Netgear extender and your main system is TP-Link Deco, it won’t join the Deco mesh as a normal Deco node. Try resetting the AX1600, then use the Nighthawk app to connect it to the existing Deco Wi-Fi as an extender. If the Deco network doesn’t appear during setup, enable WPS on the Deco and try WPS pairing from the AX1600. If neither method works, the reliable option is another Deco unit or a wired access point, since mixed-brand mesh systems generally can’t share one mesh network.

The typical recent extenders like the EAX12 (and similar) are not compatible with IEEE 1905 as these don't deal with the 1905 abstraction layer. This can lead either to inop networks, or to unwanted network loop.
