You can set up the RAX54S in the same way that you set up the R6080.

Every device from Netgear now talks about using the app for set up. That is not essential.

And the controls on your new router will be very similar to the old one.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide. And download a copy of the manual.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Anything in the box with the router will refer to the Nighthawk app. Many experienced users prefer the manual approach. But don't be intimidated by the app. It can have its uses.

You say that you don't have a wired connection. You can also use a web browser on your WiFi device to get in there. Just connect to the WiFi using the SSID on the default details on the new router. Then take it from there.
