The standard of the industry when it comes to browsers is not anything from microsoft. It is most likely going to be Firefox from Mozilla. Not only are they very compliant, but they are also much more secure. By the way, I've tried dozens.
I cannot understand why anyone would use anything from Google, but there are a lot of ignorant people out there who do not care about privacy.

The bottom line, there is no defense for Netgears poor performance in creating a non-standard web site.
And you remain ignorant about how to use screen resolutions to one's advantage. I think you are like the many will jump off the cliff because everyone else does.

The main reason towards higher resolution is becase many modern (and mostly W3C compliant) Web pages and Web UI are simply not workable to the full flexibility anymore, or showing compressed or minimalistic information only. And because my older lower res netbooks and notebooks went bust.
