Netgear EX2700 Wifi Range Extender keeps disconnecting

My WiFi range extender keeps disconnecting. I have the latest firmware update and I've done a factory reset multiple of times and even a hard reset as well as having an ethernet cable connected to my computer yet the problem still continues to persist. Is there any way to fix this?

    What router are you using? 

    the router is the backbone of the system and what the extender is running off. 

    Have you setup a static ip address in the router for the extender?
