Netgear EX6200 Wifi Extender (No Internet Connection)
Hey Guys,
I have currently just gotten a new Telstra Smart Modem. As a result of this I had to transfer my EX6200 Wifi Extender to the new modem. Among the process of connecting the wifi extender to the new modem there seems to be no internet connection being received through the extender. As ive tried for a firmware up the following message appears. "No Internet Connection. We cannot check if there is a new firmware because your extender is not connected to the Internet. Connect your extender to the Internet and try again." All lights are green on the extender and the modem is receiving internet. My computer says that the extender is connected to the internet but there seems to be no access. I'm unsure on how to fix this, I have factory reset it and tried again and have had the same issue.
Thank you.

1. Did you set it up via wps or smart connection wizard? If you tried one, switch to the other.
2. You can manually update firmware. The support site has the firmware and the manual walks you through installing it.
3. What firmware are you currently running?
here's the support site.

1. Yes, this morning i have tried connecting via the other process. I am getting connection it is saying on the mygenie wifi ext page but there seems to be no internet access when using the internet. I have also done troubleshooting through my laptop and it says there is no issue.
2. I have used the maunal to try install the latest version for firmware but, when i try to do this a message appears of "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file.". As for trying to do it via checking online i get the no internet connection message as stated earlier.
3. The firmware version the ext is currently using is "Firmware Version: V1.0.3.88_1.1.123".
I am currently unsure on what the issue is all bars are green on the extender. My modem is giving internet access normally. It is the extender itself that isn't obtaining any access.

The extender gets its access from the router. Devices will be able to connect to the extender but not have internet access if this is the case.
What router are using?
What are all the led's on the extender using?
There's a new firmware. Make sure you extract the firmware Many just download it and doulble click on it. Make sure to extract it.
After the update, try resetting the extender back to factory and resetting it up.
Also, check with your router forum, some routers need to assign static addresses to work with extenders.
