Anytime you change firmware and are having issues, the first step is to factory reset the device and reinstall it. Try pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds. the lights should change when its been held long enough.
then try the re-install.
If that doesn't work, I'd try re-installing the firmware. It wouldn't be the first time something didn't install correctly and factory resetting only removes the settings, it doesn't change the firmware.
If this doesn't help, you can downgrade the firmware to an older version. Make sure to do firmware changes over a hardwired connection for the best results.

Either? Both?
the R6700 recently got updated to netgear armor which has had its own issues. both devices respond well to a factory reset.
The reason I said either/both is because its stable when the extender isn't running but that doesn't automatically mean its the extender.
i'd start with just resetting them both and seeing how they function. If there's issues I'd downgrade the extender first by a version and then the router by a version

I am still having issues. Whenever I have my extendar on for a day it sems to cause wi-fi connection issues with my wi-ti router. my wi-fi signal keeps going on and off. When I turn off the extendar everything, I beleive, is better.
I have moved back the firmware of both devices and tried variety of tests but I keep lloosing my wifi connection. when my extendar is on.
Is there a way I can test one, the other, both together?
