Netgear Extender WN3000RP - problem trying to change it to new broadband router
I got a new broadband router, so wanted to link my Netgear Range Extender to it. At this stage, I have tried so many things, not sure where I am at. I have plugged the extender in, in the roo...
try this.
1. Factory reset the extender. Push and hold reset while plugged in for 7-15 seconds or until the lights change.
2. hardwire a pc into the extender.
3. then try the setup wizard from the manual

I have plugged the extender in, in the room with the router, and pressed the reset button - no wps on the router, so linked the extender to my laptop with an eternet cable - but when I put in the web address - all I get is "You are not connected to your extender's WiFi network." the same happens if I try the ip address 192.168.1.250
I seem to have been going around in circles for over an hour now and getting nowhere! Any help would be appreciated.
