Thanks,
I am on Windows 11 but I think the process should be similar.
I just want to know, do you need an ethernet to usb interface to communicate with the router even if you have an ethernet port on your computer? And is the process of recovery different for extenders compared to that of routers?

Should work fine on 11. I've used it before.
If you've got an ethernet port on the PC, you can direct connect them.
The process is the same for router/extenders. I've used it a couple times

Good luck! It can take a few tries sometimes as its sensitive to timing.
- Khaled0000May 09, 2023GuideHi,
Well, I've tried to flash old and new versions of the firmware onto the extender using nmrpflash and it seems to copy over okay with no issues. But when I am asked to reboot it I turn off the power button then turn it back on, and the problem just comes back - flashing white lights in the front and a solid Amber light in the back.
The weird thing is, is that if connect my router to my extender via ethernet and then connect an ethernet cable to my computer, I get Internet but it's as if I was connecting it directly to the router. No wireless functionality is present. I'm kind of stuck here. Any help? Maybe flashing a custom firmware could get me out of this but I don't think there's any for the EX7700
