I would like to move the extender to a new location and use an existing ethernet cable for the backhaul connection to the router.
1. What configuration changes do I need to make to the extender?---rerun setup and run it in access point mode.
(I use the browser based configuration method)
2. Do I need to turn off the wireless backhaul somehow?---no, rerunning setup and having it in access point mode will take care of it.
3. Does it just sence it has a cable connection and begins to use it?---see above.
4. Do I just change the hardware switch to Access Point?----you can just switch it, but i'd redo the setup process to ensure it runs well.

It did take a few tries before I could reconfigure the EX6100 as an acccess point. I ended up resetting it to defaults and connecting to it via the default SSID before it senced the Access Point switch was set. Connecting via my existing network did not work, it seemed to be locked in Extender mode untilk I reset to defaults.
Thank again

Glad that you got it working. It always stinks when it takes a few attempts to get things working that should happen the first time.
