Netgear range extenders

Hi

I've just installed BT Infinity which offers me up to 76meg broadband through BT's hub that's been placed at one corner of my house (next t the tv). My son can't pick up the signal however on his Ipad mini from his bedroom which is at the other side or the house on the first floor (his Mac Book can pick up the signal though).

I'm looking at buying a Wi-Fi extender - will the NETGEAR WN3000RP-100UKS extender provide a solution?
