Netgear universal extender WN2000rpt v2 won't connect to my Nighthawk d7800
Hi, I have a Nighthawk D7800 - AC2600 and a WN2000rptv2 extender. No matter what I try, I cannot get the two to connect via the wps. I've tried using the wps button as well as the pin code in...
WN2000rpt v2 isn't on the list as compatible with windows 10, is this true?
The extender isn't connecting to windows 10. its connecting to the router and rebroadcasting it.
You can set it up via the browser setup method and it should still work.
Plus when that extender was manufactured (2012), windows 10 wasn't released. :) that's why there wouldn't be any compatibility listed.
Yeh the top light never comes on my extender, it works if I connect an ethernet from the router to the extender then ethernet from extender to pc for example..
But I need it to work with wifi..
so when you're going through setup, where is it failing?
Have you factory reset the extender and started back at the beginning?
Yeh when I try do the set up using wps or the pin code, it just runs for 2 minutes trying to connect them but never works. The wps light flashes on the extender and on my router but no connection occurs. Do you think I need to allow the access control for it?
