Netgear WG602v4
I am to configure the device as an end point. The problem is when I go to attach to a network it wants me to specify the country. Well the country setting is grayed out, and I can't connect without it...
Are netgear support likely to offer to replace this model with a newer prosafe AP if they are unable to provide functioning firmware for it ?
unless device is EOL or you insist have good luck with they probably will replace with same model
Does the Prosafe AP firmware work, or is it likely to have the same failures and be unable to be configured in Client Mode? do it also suffer from a lack of bug fix updates?
I don't use current newest AP but I'm working someone in west coast I'm doing consulting work for may get it. Maybe I will find out how it will work
Personally, I'm inclined to recomend the owner refuse a replacement if offered, and demand a full refund plus costs. There a plenty of other brands of AP which are known to work as they state on the box, and also have manufacturer provided firmware updates to fix problems like this if they have occured.
