I am to configure the device as an end point. The problem is when I go to attach to a network it wants me to specify the country. Well the country setting is grayed out, and I can't connect without it being populated. Is there a patch to fix this?

- PenryAspirantIt's not EOL, it's manufacture refurbished, and only purchased just before xmas. (with 1 month netgear support included as it was manufacture refurbished).
I'd consider the unit NFFP ("Not Fit For Purpose") - in the UK if something is sold which is incapable of performing the task for which it is stated by the manufacturer it performs, (in this case the client bridge functionality it was purchased to do), it's considered "not fit for purpose", and the manufacturer is liable.
Thanks for the suggestions. It's intended use is to link a PVR to the interwebs, to enable video streaming (and extended EPG updates i expect) , so a substantial AP isn't needed. I was thinking something of a comparable priced unit £20 (that's circa 30$) - I'll probably point him towards a Buffalo, as i've configured a number of them as client bridges in the past. - jmizoguchiVirtuosorefurb are not my choice for networking devices from netgear. There are handle still third party and good thing that UK has strong back up for consumer were in US is not... :)
- BadWapAspirantYeah my unit is refurbished. I contacted the reseller and they refunded my money and told me to throw it in the trash. I'm sticking with Linksys from here on out, they offer support for their products.
