Netgear wifi extender setup

2 options for set up - can’t use WPS option as my modem doesn’t has a WPS button ( but it does have a WPS light indicator (?), so option 2 is to log into the netgear_ext wifi connection, but both the 2g and 5 g options in my wifi manager need password which are not in the instructions.
Any assistance appreciated

    Hi JaimesA, welcome to the community! During the setup process, the extender will scan for wireless networks it can connect to. You can select the WiFi name of your main router and put in the password for it. That will allow the extender to connect to it. You will then have the option to use the same wireless settings for your extender or setup a different name and password.
