new WG602v4 not at 192.168.0.227

Question

This is a really simple question.I have  a brand new WG602v4I am trying to configure it as an addition to my existing netgear home network.Setting it up stand alone 1st and connecting it to a PC with the supplied ethernet cable.going to 192.168.0.227 just times out. I am using IE7 on VistaI have tried the following tests1) Using a Mac in place of the PC (just had it handy) same problem2) Fiddling with the ethernet speed and duplex settings (the ethernet light is green and flashin a normal way) same problem3) Using the ethernet cable provided to connect to another netgear access point - no connection problem with that device.4) Reseting the WG602v4 same problem5) varing the power on vs ethernet connection sequence same problemAnyone have any ideas or is the device just broken? It seems superficially OK and the packaging was in paerfect condition.thanks in advance for any/all comments

use free ip scanner and check make IP is right.I seen some manual does not have same as as it stated.

Thanks that fixed itip was 192.168.1.1 - should have guessed :)

hi even i have the same ip and it says its incorrect and none others mentioned work for me either please help!
