NightHawk AC1750/R6400 wifi mesh

i have Cox Cable internet and the R6400 Nighthawk AC 1750, i am looking to create a mesh wifi by purchasing two satellites to put in my home.

Does anyone know if the Nighthawk wifi mesh system is compatible with my router?

I have also logged in to routelogin.net and am unable to upgrade my firmware, does anyone have any advice how to correct this?  the Nighthawk app will not work with the right firmware.

thank you in advance!

    1. The r6400 isn't a mesh router. So if you plan on using something like orbi, then you'd need to purchase a orbi system with router and not just the satellites.

    2. you can add mesh extenders. But if you're needing more than 1 extender, I usually recommend moving to an actual mesh system like orbi where the router controls it. much better stability, performance versus using multiple extenders.

    3. what firmware are you on? Did you try manually updating? Where does it fail in the process?
