I have similar issue. When trying to connect to extender using Nighthawk android app getting the error: "Login failed. Please re-enter the correct password ...". I am entering the correct password since the same login credentials work when connecting using Web interface.
It must be something with Nighthawk app or the way it talks to the device.
Note: I setup the device using WPS, not NIghthawk app if this matters.

Same in my case. As I mentioned in the original post I can connect to the extender using Web browser with the same cresentials as I use in Nighthawk android app.

1. What device are you using in accessing the NH? Android or iOs?
2. What is the version of the Android or iOs?
3. Have you tried using a different device?
4. What is the current firmware version of the extender? What is the app version of the Nighthawk app?
