the EX7700 is a triband extender. It has 2x 5ghz bands. This means that one is a high band and one a low band. So if you're router is broadcasting on the 160 channel, thats what the extender uses for the backhaul (router--extender connection) and uses the lower bands for the fronthaul (extender---device) connection.
