Nighthawk X4 AC2200 Extender Power LED stuck on Amber
My Nighthawk Range Extender AC2200 power LED is stuck on amber. The light doesn't blink when power is turned on, it just immediately goes to amber and stays there. I've read other articles in here ...

Its very careful with timing. I've ran it at different timings and had success.
You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Yes, running on windows. I did have to enable/install tftp, but that was a breeze. I just couldn't see where the amber light blinked at all when I did step 9 (turning on the wifi extender). If it blinked, it was very quick. I tried 3 or 4 times, but was not able to catch it. If you say that the timing is careful, I will try again or try your other solutions and get back to you. I just wasn't sure that the blinking was going to be that quick. I truly appreciate your suggestions. I will check back after I try these... Thank you!

good luck! I've had luck with nmrpflash when tftp wouldn't work.
