Nighthawk X4S AC2200 triband, finding my Wifi extension on my phone, tablet, computer?
My Nighthawk X4S extender started up perfect just by using the WPS button on the extender and router. The LEDs are ALL blue indicating I have both 2.4 and 5ghz Wifis. When I look on my phone, table...
When you setup the EX7500 with wps, if you're running a dual band router, it'll automatically connect to the 5ghz band with one of the radios backhaul. It then sets up the extender in mesh mode (single ssid) for the 2 other bands. So you won't see it as seperate with a regular phone/tablet/pc unless you're running a wifi analyzer app/program.
If you'd like to seperate them out, re-run your setup on the extender but use the smart connection wizard. it gives you more options during setup such as individual ssids/one ssid function.
