Nighthawk X6 EX7700 slow wifi

So I currently am using the C7000v2 and have the X6 EX7000 mesh extender. the issue i'm having is really slow speeds. my extender is only putting out 90Mbps even with it directly wired to the C7000v2. My 5Ghz speeds should be around 400Mbps confirmed with testing it from my other device but when using my extender its only 90. what am i doing wrong? i have everything setup properly and even this last setup i wired it directly to the C7000v2.

    I have my ex1900 connected to a R8500. It has worked great with speed tests (ookla app) of 300mps up and down between my PC (connected by cable) and the internet. I upgraded to 1.0.1.80 and now the speed is 90 up & down NO MATTER what I do. I have done a clean install, changed every connection setting (fastpath and regular connection) and it is the same slow speed.
