Nighthawk X6 extender question - can you use two?
Hi, I’m using a Nighthawk X6 extender to extend the wifi in my house, but I need to extend it further. My router is at one end of the house and then the current extender is in the middle of the house...

Can you do it? Yes.
But what I'd do is try to move the router.
Go
extender<-------router------->extender
Try to move the router to the middle with the extenders setup with a star configuration and not daisy chained. It'll be more stable. Otherwise, you can end up with the extenders connecting to each other if the router's signal drops or has any issues.

Thanks very much for your advice. I don’t think I can move the router though. It has to be plugged in to the broadband socket, which is in a specific room at the end of the house

You can daisy chain them but if you run into stability issues, take disable one of the extenders "one wifi" feature and change its ssid so its different. Helps prevent them from connecting to each other

Sarah_louise Do you have broadband port in more than one room in the house?
When we bought our house, the modem had been connected in the Kitchen on the main floor. I had a connection in the bedroom on the second floor. So I put my modem and router up there, so wifi started out on the second floor for better coverage. Feel free to check if you can connect your modem in more than one room in your home for better coverage.
