Nighthawk X6s AC3000 will not connect to router
Hi, After a brief power outage the above extender has stopped connecting to router. I have tried rebooting both (in close proximity to one another), with the same result. One thing has changed I have...

factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

when you factory reset and then connect to the netgear_ext and go through setup, what happens?
It doesn't work doesn't tell us much. Does it go through setup?
Are you unable to access it?
If you log into the router, does the extender show as an attached device?
Can you access it through its IP address the router assigns to it?

Thanks,
I am what they used to call a 'silver surfer', (you could add 'very' to this) so my knowledge of the finer workings of computer technology is limited.
The power outage was planned so unlikely to have been a surge as I switched everything off and then powered back up after, poor explanation on my part. Since then I have turned the router off a number of times as that seems to be the go to advice, for quick fixes.
I Uninstalled the Nighthawk app and reinstalled in case that might be a quirk.
I reset the the extender and placed it next to the router.
Does it go through setup?
I then tried to setup the device again, my phone is connected to my router address. The app then tells me that I am not connected to the internet, and gives me a suggestion to connect to NETGEAR EXT. When I do this the app try's to detect the product but goes no further.
Are you unable to access it?
No, although not sure what it is, I assume the extender.
If you log into the router, does the extender show as an attached device?
Yes, I assume you mean the scan is seeing NETGEAR EXT as a network
Can you access it through its IP address the router assigns to it?
I'm not sure what or how to do this .
Cheers

No, although not sure what it is, I assume the extender.----I mean access it via the browser
If you log into the router, does the extender show as an attached device?
Yes, I assume you mean the scan is seeing NETGEAR EXT as a network---that'd be the SSID (Name broadcasting). Not what we're talking about. If you log into your router, the extender should show up as an attached devices if its been setup.
Can you access it through its IP address the router assigns to it?
I'm not sure what or how to do this .----see above
Cheers

Thanks for your patience,
I cannot access it through the web browser, and it is not listed in my routers connected devices.
