Nighthawk X6s AC3000 will not connect to router

factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

I cannot access it through the web browser, and it is not listed in my routers connected devices.

I paired the WPS, and it started working, logs in with nighthawk app and seems to be working ok now thanks.
The nighthawk extender doesn't show on the routers connected devices though, which seems strange.
