Nighthawk x6s AC3000

I am curious if this trip band mesh extender will work if I plug it into my garage. The router is in my house and is on a separate power source of the garage

    extenders don't care what they're plugged into. They connect to the wifi and rebroadcast. So if your wifi reaches the area the extender will be in, it'll pick it up and rebroadcast it. 

    they work best when they have a good signal becaues they have to recieve the signal first.
