Nighthawk X6S (EX8000) vs Nighthawk X4S (EX7500) - Wifi signal strength and reach.
Hi Everyone,
I have one very simple question, does the Nighthawk X6S Extender (EX8000) provide a stronger wifi signal and therefore have further reach than a Nighthawk X4S (EX7500)?
Cheers,
Paul

Anybody please feel free to correct me, I'm a jack of all trades and certainly a master of none. From my understanding of wifi and the FCC or whoever regulates that junk, the signal won't really be "stronger" persay because the radio is limited to a certain wattage. I'd also bet that Netgear has their standards set with antennas and current. That said the biggest difference I see is the 3rd band for the EX8000 capable of being "twice" as fast as the third band for the EX7500. The larger bandwidth band of the EX8000 would be ideal for linking to your router, but only if your routers 5Ghz band can support 1.7Gbps. If you have more than 1Gbps for your internet you might consider getting the EX8000. I ended up getting the EX7500 because it's cheaper, nicer looking in my opinion, and you can put it anywhere there's an outlet. Hope that helps! Take everything I say with a grain of salt because I'm new.

Thanks ronnymac32, your answer helps.
I have a Nighthawk X10 R9000 wifi router, so with your answer, I am better off with the EX8000.
- Let me know how it goes! I have an X8, wasn't sure what I could do with the ad protocol with the X10 but I bet it's sick!
