No Gateway IP Address
I've set up the extender and it recognises my Linksys E4200 router but it wont get the ip address of the router which means I can connect to the extender, but can't connect to the internet.
If i set up a manual IP address on the extender, it works fine, but only on my laptop - when I try and connect my Galaxy S II phone and my Galaxy Tab 2, they get stuck at configuring the ip address then ultimately give up.
DHCP is definitely set up and running correctly on my router so not sure what's going on. I've tried both the WPS and manual setups and i've even tried another extender as i have 2 wn1000rp's and neither work.
Any advice?

- donblickAspirantExactly the Same for me - only small difference is that Even Laptop doesnt work for me... :(
- tomallen35AspirantI have confirmed that the extenders do work correctly with a different router so there must be something about the linksys one that has issues with the extender.
I have a sneaky feeling I'll just return the 2 extenders - starting to remember why I stopped buying Netgear wireless products years ago... - ReweAspirantHad the same problem...
What I did...:
1. set the IP of the extender manually (eg. 192.168.2.100 when the router IP is 192.168.2.1), set the IP of PC used for configuration manually to eg. 192.168.2.115, gateway is IP of extender (DNS no matter), then I reseted the extender to "get IP automatically from the router" - the extender kept the IP I set previously (Gateway and DNS both changed itselfs to the IP of the Router), the same with the PC - set get IP from DHCP
2. Connected to my original network
2. reserved the IP of the extender just for it in the router settings
3. and paragraph No.16 of this article http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20934/~/wn1000rp-faqs resolved problems with IP releasing for other devices
4. after that the extender is working and sharing internet connection
Try it.
