No wifi on EAX20 Extender
I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find my exact problem. For years I had my EAX20 extender connected without any problems. Recently I could not connect to wifi through it. I have tried to use the mobile Nighthawk app, but it will not complete the setup correctly. I can get it to connect to my network by using the browser setup. Both my 2.4 and 5 G networks show up as the _EXT when I connect to them, but I can't access the internet. I'm connecting to a xFi Gateway, model CGM4331COM or TG4482A. The whole reason I use the EAX20 is so I can get a better wifi signal in my basement and connect my tv and gaming consoles through ethernet. I was getting a much faster download through ethernet when it was working. I have performed a reset and reconfiguration so many times I getting frustrated. The extender is at the latest firmware of .64.

Ugh, my EAX20 is acting up again! For years, it was my trusty WiFi warrior, beaming internet to my basement like a signal-slinging superhero. But lately? Kaput. No internet, just frustration.
I've tried everything: the Nighthawk app, the browser setup, even enough factory resets to fuel a robot uprising. Still, nothing. My 2.4 and 5GHz networks show up as "_EXT," taunting me with their proximity yet denying me the sweet nectar of internet access.
I blame my xFi Gateway, those finicky CGM4331COM and TG4482A models. Maybe they're jealous of the EAX20's basement throne? Whatever it is, I need to fix this. My TV and consoles are starving for bandwidth, and my download speeds are slower than a snail on NyQuil.
