old comcast supplied netgear wn2000rpt range extender cannot access setup page

im trying to setup an old netgear wn2000rpt extender in my shop.  i cannot get it to connect to my router in the house.  if i hook it to the router via ethernet cable it works fine.  i cannot access the setup page when i type the login link on back of router it goes to a page with a netgear banner, but nothing on the page.  this was an extender i got with my comcast service years ago.  any ideas?
