old extender with 3 atenna

I have a very old netgear extender with 3 atenna.  it does not have a model number on it.

 

I set it up with WPS and I see the network. EXT but I can't join, it just shows available, but I the iphone won't connect up, it just shows a circle near the name.

 

I am not very technical, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  I did reset the extender.

    1. there will be a lable on it with a model. that helps.
    2. Don't set it up with wps. Not all devices play well with wps (they should). Factory reset 1 more time, then set it up with the installation assistant. To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
