Options to extend wifi to detached shop

I have a similar question,

I have an EX2700 extender in my house garage and would like to connect to another EX2700 in a detached shop. Can this be a hardwired ethernet connection? I already have the wire run to the shop.

The EX2700 doesn't have access point mode. That's the mode that'd allow you to hardwire it to your router.

    Thanks, any suggestions on a hardware combo to achieve this? 

     

    Do I just need a different extender with access point capability for the garage and move the EX2700 to the shop?

      If you're hardwiring in a device you can use and extender that has access point mode, a router with access point mode, or even just an access point. Kind of up to you which route you go
