Packets larger then 65535 on my Nighthawk
I have a Netgear Nighthawk X6S Tri Band Mesh Extender Model: EX8000
I also have a TP Link firewaal.
My firewall gives me the error throughout the day "Detected Ping of Death attack. Dropped 1 packets."
If I turn off my Nighthawk problem goes away.
I talked with TP-Link support, and they told me that the Nighthawk is sending abnormal ping packets larger than 65535 bytes causing this error.
Is there a way to manage the size of the packet size in the Nighthawk? If so, how?

There isn't. The extender just passes data along between a device and whatever its connected to.
Is it causing issues or just annoying you?

It's causing some serious Firewall performance issues to deal with these packets. Is there no options?

Is the ex8000 hardwired in and running in AP mode? Or is it connected wirelessly to a router?
What router is it?
What firmware is on the extender?
