PL1000 and EX6100 AC750
I have just purchased a PL1000. Will it create a wifi hotspot, and/or can my EX6100 AC750 create a hotspot, or do I need the PLW1000?
Setup the powerline devices in the same room first. Just to get everything connected and working fine. If you can't get them setup in the same room (aka same circuit) then either something is wrong with them, they're hooked up wrong, or something is seriously causing interference in your wires.
Once they've established connections with each other they basically work as a ethernet wire.
Thanks-yes is already done that and that worked fine.
Any other ideas?
Per your prior comment, it works in the same room?
If so, start moving it further away from the base powerline setup. Usually if there's interference in the line, the further away you get, the worse it performs or more problems you get. You can use this to figure out how far from the base unit you can get.
