If you google 2wire wireless bridging you get some results which are about turning the 2wire into "just a modem" which is not what you want to do.

Yes i did at first think it was wireless bridging that i needed to do, but repeater mode makes much more sense.
I am thinking i may have to give the AP the wireless security key off the BT router, but the security type on the BT router is WPA2-PSK and the security type on the AP only has options for WEP and OPEN. I did think about changing the security type on the BT router to WEP but i didnt want to mess with that and end up screwing somthing up and end up with no internet!
This is a nightmare, i will probably ring netgear tomorow and see if they can help and BT too.
