PLW1000 can't login after reset

Hi,

I'm installing these powerline adapters and am trying to make a roaming network outof them (same network ID and password so it's seamless and devices decide which one to use) However, after I did a factory reset, I can no longer access the router settings. I have used the username admin and password password and have never changed these.

I have tried:

-multiple resets on the WIFI unit, and the powerline unit

-logging in with different browsers

-logging in with different machines

-logging in using routerlogin.net

-unplugging both units for an hour

-calling tech support (was 'accidentally disconnected once, and told they'd call me back the second time. I know they are super busy)

-using the NETGEAR Genie application

nothing works.

I believe the unit thinks someone is already logged in and the reset isn't fixing it. 

weird...Any advice?
