Power light blinking red
Tried to update my router, and it gave me an error part way thru. Now the internet is down and I believe it needs to finish the download still to work but with no network, how do I do that? Power is flashing amber

sounds like you might have corrupted your firmware. You can try tftp/nmrpflash to recover it.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

just make sure you enable tftp
