Powerline 1000 not working after changing internet providers
About a month ago I bough 2 sets of poweline 1000 adapters so that I could get internet to my gaming pc in my parents house. A little back story is necesarry here: my parents have always had terrible problems with the internet in thier house ever since I can remember. With the pandemic currently going on and quiting my previous job due to personal reasons I've had to move into my parents house for the time being. Since my friends are still social distancing we tend to hang out by playing games online. My parents internet (specifically wifi) had gotten so bad that I was constantly having troubles trying to play games with my friends so I bought a pair of these for my xbox and another for my pc after my friend told me about them and they worked pretty well, not amazing but way better than before. I could for the first time play games without issues.
Today my parents finally got a new internet provider with much faster speeds and I was really excited to not have to deal with bad internet again. After the technicians had left i found out that they had unpluggled my powerline adapters and not plugged them back into the wall or our new router even though I told them about them before hand. I plugged them in and now I can barely get them to connect to each other. They will momentarily connect but after about 10-20 seconds the pick a plug light goes red and then turns off to then turn back on in intervals of green then red then off again. So I have no internet on my pc. My xbox is connected to the new wifi and runs fine but I need to pl1000 adapters to connect my pc without moving it. I've done everything I've found online and nothing has worked even reseting them to factory default multiple times. I've read tons of forums but I havent seen anyone with a situation like mine. Can anyone help?
I even bought a new set because I saw some people say they had sets that quit working after a while and I wanted to make sure that wasnt happening to me and the new set isnt working either which I'll return. It's driving me crazy though. I went from a bad internet situation to a worse one.
any help would be appreciated
