powerline 1200

I had a problem receiving WIFI in on the second floor so I bought a Powerline set and solved the problem hooking up a Roku to my TV,  but I still don't have wifi upstairs.  Now to solve this problem I think I could buy a WIFI extender that has an ethernet

Port and connect it to the box upstairs using an ethernet splitter.   Would that work?

    Just to make sure I have this correct.

    you want to go:

    modem-->Router-->powerline-->powerline-->wifi extender (in ap mode)

    I've done this before and it worked well when I was using it.

    you could also go:

    modem-->Router-->powerline-->powerline-->ethernet switch----->wifi extender (in ap mode) and other hardwired devices.
