Powerline 2000 not showing pick a plug light

So I just bought the plp2000 and when I got to plug it in, the pick a plug light turns on on each and then a minute later, it turns off, I have tried several ports and I still doesn’t work. I have used another adapter the to link 600 and I works just fine and shows the pick a plug light and stays on. Is this the Powerline adapters fault or the line itself
