Powerline PL1000 1GBps not reaching anywhere farther than a single room away

You might end up having to return it. not all homes work well with powerline due to how many things can add interference. this could be arc fault circuits, gfci circuits, surge protectors, high draw appliances, bad/poorly wired electronics, even the wiring iteself can cause issues. or poor/cheap cell phone charges. The test to see if the powerline device is working properly is to set it up on the same circuit. which you did and it worked fine. So you're home might not be ideal for powerline or you might need to do some investigating of the home/appliances/devices plugged in.
