There are a lot of devices with the marketing label "AX1800"
It would help to know which product the new EAX12 is connecting to.
Is the SSID being broadcast by the existing access point the same as the SSID from the Cisco?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The AP is a WAX610 which serves the SSID. The CISCO is a router and has no wifi capability, just 8 internal ethernet ports. The CICSO is the connection to the fibre broadband and has worked perfectly for 8 years or so from when it was iinstalled. It does serve the DHCP.
