Product recommendation for an RV AP with Wi-Fi backhaul.
Hello, I am looking for an AP for my RV that would allow for Wi-Fi backhaul to another local AP. It needs to have an external antenna connector or a removable 2.4 or 2.4/5 antenna. I am thinking that a range extender could work but I would prefer to have my own SSID. A Mesh system would only work if the far AP was the same product.
Do most AP's allow for non wired backhaul?
Possibly one solution would be a range extender to the far AP along with a local AP using the extender's link as backhaul. ?

If you're doing it for an RV park, don't use netgear products. Reason why is a lot of RV parks have login/terms and conditions. These require a router/AP that supports WISP mode. Netgear hasn't made one since an old school N300 device.
GL.iNet makes a range of travel routers that have this function and work well. I have a ton of netgear devices and still bring my little GL.iNet travel router with me when I go places for both its wisp mode and its VPN function.
