Range Extender AC1200 EX6200

I am running Cat6 cable to an out building from the NIghthawk Router. Wondering if I can patch in the Range extender and use it basically as a switch to connect devices.. Thanks

Note: In access point mode, you can connect your computer or WiFi device to the extender only using a WiFi connection.
