Range Extender EX6400 cannot get IP from router i AP mode

What modem are you using?
Is the asus running in AP mode or routing mode?
You're running the range extender in AP mode? And the switch on the side is in extender mode?
When you're hooking the pc to the extender, is the switch still in AP mode or are you switching it back to extender mode?
Firmware on the extender?
What happens if you run the Asus on 192.198.1.*** subnet?
is there a reason your running the Asus on the 192.168.120.**** subnet?

I'm using an Asus DSL-AC68U in router mode, Bridged behind my ISP router which is just setting up the DSL connection (FTTC).
The router setting up the DSL connection is configured in the subnet 192.168.1.*, Asus on 192.168.120.* to have a separate network and with the DHCP server. It always worked fine with new devices. I've configured static IPs in the Asus for the most common devices, assigned dinamically in the range 192.168.120.100 and 192.168.120.255.
Range ext is in AP mode and the switch is in AP mode, of course. When connecting the PC to the extender is still in AP mode.
Last firmware available, is 1.0.2.144.
I didn't try to change my router subnet mask but I think it doesn't work as I should activate DHCP on the first router (needed because it has voip ports). I would keep this configuration but I can't understand why the RE does not get an IP from the DHCP. Ethernet leds right out of the eth port on the RE blinks green for a while and then orange (I believe it's for the impossibility to establish an ether net connection).

Thanks again for any follow up!I would try (temporarily) changing the router's ip range and seeing if it allows the range extender to function properly. it *shouldn't* matter but stranger things have happened.
Does it work properly in extender mode?
And you put that the extender works if you're pc is connected to the extender. Are you running the pc with a bridged setup to make the extender work? I'm just a bit confused by this. In AP mode, if the pc is hooked to it, the pc shouldn't have internet and neither does the extender. I guess I'm just wanting a big of clarification of what exactly you setup for that.
